Cookie Policy
Effective October 28, 2026 · GiveGigs.com
1. Your choice
Optional analytics and advertising are off by default worldwide. Accept all, reject optional, or choose categories independently. Closing or ignoring this notice, scrolling, and accepting Terms do not grant tracking consent. Use the persistent Cookie settings button on any page to change or withdraw consent. Withdrawal stops future optional tracking by reloading the page and removes known accessible first-party tracking cookies. It cannot erase information previously received by providers or third-party cookies outside our domain; use provider controls or submit a privacy request for those records.
2. Necessary storage
Authentication uses Supabase session cookies (typically sb-…-auth-token and related chunks), whose lifetime follows session and refresh settings. Cloudflare Turnstile may process security information when a protected form is used; any challenge storage follows its security configuration. These functions support requested sign-in and abuse prevention. givegigs-consent-v1 in local storage records category choices, notice version, and the time of the decision, for a maximum consent validity of 180 days; an expired record is ignored and a new choice requested. Storage can remain on your device until replaced or cleared. No optional consent is needed to remember a privacy choice.
3. Analytics - optional
When enabled, Google Analytics (Google, measurement ID G-PJDCXS2E87) measures website use and may set _ga and _ga_* cookies, typically for up to two years subject to provider configuration and browser limits. Google receives device and usage data. Google Signals and ad personalization are disabled in our Analytics configuration. Our own /api/views measurement records visited paths, IP addresses, user agents, and counts; session-storage keys beginning viewed_ deduplicate visits until the tab session ends. Both forms of measurement are blocked until analytics consent. We avoid sending URL query strings in explicit Google page-view events; do not place private information in page URLs.
4. Advertising - optional
When enabled, Meta Pixel (Meta, pixel ID 1695439154399096) sends page-visit and device information for advertising and measurement. It may set _fbp and _fbc cookies, typically lasting up to 90 days, subject to provider configuration. Meta may associate received information with its own records; these disclosures can count as sharing or targeted advertising under applicable US privacy law. Reject advertising to prevent this browser-based disclosure. Meta Pixel is not loaded and no fallback tracking image is sent before consent. Google and Meta privacy information is available at policies.google.com/privacy and facebook.com/privacy/policy.
5. Preferences, requested features, and external services
Some requested tools store working information locally, such as chat drafts (chat-draft:…), invoice settings (givegigs_invoice_settings), and theme preferences. These persist until removed or browser storage is cleared, unless the feature replaces them. They support the feature you choose rather than advertising. Opening an external website or activating third-party media can disclose technical information to that service. Its own policy and controls apply. Clearing all browser storage can sign you out, erase drafts, and reset your choices.
6. Opt-out signals and consent duration
Global Privacy Control disables optional analytics and advertising even if a previous browser choice allowed them. We check the signal when loading and refreshing privacy settings. Browser settings and technical restrictions may also prevent cookies. Choices apply to this browser and device; use the settings on each device. Consent expires after 180 days, and a changed notice version can require a new choice. If storage is blocked or corrupted, tracking defaults to off on the next load. For account-wide or other privacy rights, contact [email protected]; browser controls do not by themselves delete an account or unsubscribe email.
